Proper gaps are better

The gap is too small, the breakdown voltage is low, the combustion voltage is low, the combustion line is long, the spark is weak, the combustion is slow, the engine power loss is obvious, the explosive force is small, the engine running sound is dull, it is easy to cause fuel waste, and the flame extinguishing effect may be larger because the gap is small and the flame core is small, resulting in the flame core extinction and ignition failure. It will also cause serious carbon accumulation in spark plugs because of slow combustion and high fire rate.

When the gap is too large, the breakdown voltage is high, and after exceeding the breakdown voltage that the ignition coil can actually provide, there will be no discharge due to no breakdown air, spark plug fire and ignition failure.
When the gap is appropriate, the increase in a certain range is conducive to the increase of ignition energy, fast combustion and good engine performance.
