What do spark plugs do?

Let’s understand what the first spark plug is used for.
It is a gasoline engine ignition system to introduce high voltage current into the cylinder to generate electric sparks to ignite combustible mixed gas components; It is mainly composed of a wiring nut, an insulator, a wiring screw, a center electrode, a side electrode and a shell, and the side electrode is welded on the shell.

In short, the operation of the car engine needs to burn fuel, and the spark that igniting the fuel is generated by the spark plug, so the quality of the spark plug affects the working effect of the engine.
The most important factor is the gap between the spark plug electrodes. If the gap is too small, the spark is weak, and it is easy to leak due to carbon deposition. The gap is too large, the required breakdown voltage increases, the engine is not easy to start, and it is easy to “lack of fire” at high speed.
